Outside Buyer / Scrap Yard Trainer

Position Overview

Are you someone who prefers being out in the field—not just stuck behind a desk? Do you enjoy building relationships, and working with your hands?

National AC Scrap is looking for a driven, hands-on Outside Buyer / Sorting Representative to help us expand our network and maximize material value across scrap yards.

This isn’t just a sales job—it’s part business development, part field training, and part quality control.

What You’ll Do

• Grow Your Territory: Identify and connect with new scrap yards. Set meetings, build trust, and bring in new business.
• Be the Face of the Company: Build strong relationships with yard owners and crews through consistent follow-ups and site visits.
• Train Like a Pro (Hands-On): Work side-by-side with yard teams to teach proper sorting techniques using real materials—not just theory.
• Verify & Protect Quality: Attend initial load pickups to ensure materials meet standards before payment is approved.
• Communicate Pricing Clearly: Use our structured pricing model to set expectations and maintain consistency.
• Stay Organized: Track your activity and results using Basecamp and daily reports via Telegram.

What This Job Is Really Like

• You’ll be outside, on your feet, and in scrap yards
• You’ll lift, sort, and train alongside crews
• You’ll travel frequently (local + occasional out-of-state, fully covered)
• You’ll balance physical work + relationship-building + accountability

What We’re Looking For

• Strong people skills—you can connect with anyone, anywhere
• Bilingual: Fluent in English & Spanish (required)
• Organized, reliable, and self-managed
• Comfortable in industrial / scrap yard environments
• Able to lift 25 lbs and stay active throughout the day
• Willing to follow company systems and brand standards
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Pay & Perks

• $21/hour (40 hours/week) 
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• 401(k) + matching (after 90 days)
• All travel covered: flights, hotels, rental cars, etc
• Structured onboarding: 60-day performance check-ins to set you up for success
• You get hands-on, real-world work instead of just sitting at a desk

Work Location

In-person (both office and field-based within assigned territory)
